Today, we met and chatted with our students in the chatroom. We got their opinion on their work this month. All of our students learned by having fun. this is very gratifying!

Today was the event day! We held a meeting with our students at Zoom. At the end of the month meeting we held last month, activities were held by Berna Ekeke, Ali Özgün Özer and Damla Yahyaoğlu using word cloud, google forms and quizizz web 2.0 tools. In this month's meeting,under the mentorship of Esra Yalçın, Nihan Dusmez, Figen Akkaya and Elena Hanza using web 2.0 tools "wordwall.net,nearpod.com and kahoot!" they organized activities related to the theme of February, "the history of mathematics". I love these events and competitions that we do at the end of each month. We both learn and have fun ... Thank you to all the teachers and students who participated.

So let's start with how the project started. I suddenly found myself in something that I liked very much. I wanted to be together with my colleagues with whom I could work collaboratively in so many real terms and to produce something with my students ... And of course I wanted to develop professionally. I think a platform that offers them all together is a gesture of the universe right now ..

It was the smartest thing to do my first project with teachers from my community. And I asked every eTwinning member I met about the path to math teachers. It was only two days since I heard the name of eTwinning. And I was in contact with our founder Damla.

For years, I tried to explain to my students that mathematics is not just about going to the market and buying two bread ... And of course, how to make my students admit that they will not use mathematics throughout their life without realizing that they are involved in mathematics. I found a way ..

That's how the adventure started ..

As an agricultural high school, our students receive landscaping and plant breeding education. They plant and produce in the fields and greenhouses at various times. I don't know what kind of thing came to life in your eyes, but .. Let's watch it now?

Who would then work on this project with me? The best thing was to share this excitement with the team. When I talked about the project and eTwinning, I chose six of my students who were excited like me. And the first thing I did was to introduce them to the programs that they can create posters and videos from a web 2 tool. .Do we get to know?

And I had to introduce myself to my colleagues and students in the project .. And to everyone who followed us. This is me ..

It was a very nice feeling to introduce myself and to know my colleagues, students and schools from all over Turkey and Europe ...

Each of my students tried so many posters that they were learning everything new and they were preparing again countless times to be the best. We put one of them and organized a questionnaire in our own school. I congratulate my student for his unending determination and good contribution ..

And we made the big choice. Our student named Eylül from İzmir made the poster that won everyone's hearts among all the participants. Congratulations to our beautiful student ..

The big day had come. The first meeting with the students was going to take place, and all students' curiosity would be relieved. They had a lot of fun in the first meeting. ..

And as a joint product work of our project, our students uploaded each letter of the project name by making a poster, twinspacea. Muhammed and Gamze from our team did very good work. The fact that they wrote and sent them on the papers we created together in the school made marbling pages once again missed the days we did face-to-face activities in many schools.

Next was eSafety and Digital literacy training. Did my students use the internet securely? I wanted all of them to be good digital literate and secure internet users.

As the project team, we had to create an awareness in the school.

And before we gave these trainings to the school, we made a safe internet use survey. We will increase and increase our trainings according to the results

That's all for now..More good jobs are waiting for us, I wonder?

Damla Yahyaoğlu-ISTANBUL KIRIMLI FAZILET OLCAY ANATOLİAN HIGH SCHOOL/TURKEY

Our poster poll has been concluded. The poster with the slogan of the project was selected by taking 48.3% of 726 votes and 351 votes. The poster designed by DEU special 75th Year Middle School student Eylül N P was selected. I congratulate dear Eylül and thank all our students, teachers and everyone who participated in our survey.
